Truck & Transport Mechanic

(Pre-Employment)

Duration: 37 Week Program

This program provides students with the skills and knowledge that is required for employment in the mechanics field. You will learn to diagnose problems, identify causes, dismantle and overhaul components, repair defects, reassemble equipment, and make any  adjustments that are required. You'll also learn to operate specialized tools and equipment, run diagnostic tests and develop critical safety habits. 


Labour market statistics show a high employment rate in this field of training with earnings growing 2-5 years after graduation. Wage levels for the Truck  & Transport Mechanic field vary, but it has a relatively higher wage average than other occupation in similar trades. 


The demand continues to grow for this trade, Truck & Transport Mechanics are required to meet the needs of todays employers.

The following MUST accompany any new application:

A completed MRD Medical, a current drivers abstract, a copy of your grade 12 diploma or transcript showing that you have met the graduation requirements or students may enter as a mature student and successfully complete a Canadian Adult Achievement Test ( CAAT TEST).
