Class 01

You will be trained professionally to operate commercial vehicles safely and responsibly. This field is in high demand by all industries and sectors across the country. There are not enough drivers to meet the needs of employers. This field provides competitive wages and benefits from employer to employer. 

This program will train you to interpret highway traffic laws and safety codes, vehicle regulations, maintain a safe work environment, vehicle  inspection, vehicle maneuvering and operation, hauling, positioning, use of road maps and driver daily logs, and truck maintenance. Prerequisites:

• Valid class 05 licence (wiith 2 years experience) 

• Class 01 medical 

• Drivers Abstract showing no more than 4 demerit point accumulation

• Level III or equivalent, or mature student. 

The following MUST accompany any new application:

A completed MRD Medical, a current drivers abstract, a copy of your grade 12 diploma or transcript showing that you have met the graduation credentials.  Students who do not possess a grade 12 diploma may provide proof of high school equivalency in the form of an Adult Basic Education Certificate, students may enter as a mature student and successfully complete a Canadian Adult Achievement Test ( CAAT TEST) or WRAT.
